Choose from multiple width options and lengths to suit your unique shoreline. Plus, with ShoreMaster's industry-leading line-up of dock decking choices your ramp and gangway is sure to look amazing for years to come.

Choosing between a gangway or a ramp to use as the transition between your your shore and your floating dock system can be incredibly simple. A good rule of thumb is to look at what your neighbors are using and think about how you'll use your gangway or ramp. Gangways are helpful to span greater distances and when you need handrails (if the drop below the transition for instances is greater). Ramps are a nice choice for shorter spans and when handrails aren't required (however, handrails are available as an add-on for ramps if you'd like them). A local dealer, or our Customer Support Team is always available to help you evaluate your shoreline and make the best choice for your needs.

RAMPS

If you don’t have far to walk (less than eight feet from shore to dock), a ramp is a nice choice. Ramps are common on shorelines where the water level doesn’t fluctuate much. Ramps are usually short enough that they don’t require handrails. ShoreMaster ramps use two InfinityTrack accessory brackets to attach to Infinity Dock Systems; bolt-on roller kits are available.

Ramps come in 4’ x 4’, 4’ x 8’, and 6’ x 8’ sizes  - and can be used with all 9 of ShoreMaster's premium decking options.

GANGWAYS

If the distance from your dock to the shore is longer or the drop below the transition is large, a gangway is probably a better fit for your boat docking system. Unlike ramps, gangways do require a dock railing system because of the distance they cover, and ShoreMaster’s InfinityTrack handrails are easy to assemble and attach. ShoreMaster carries hinges, rollers, and transition plates to suit your location, dock system, and on-shore setup.

Residential gangways are 4’ wide and come in lengths of 16’, 20’, and 24’   - and can be used with all 9 of ShoreMaster's premium dock decking options.
