ShoreMaster
to Build Rotomolding Facility |
|
ShoreMaster will open a new plastics production plant at its Galva-Foam production facility in Camdenton, Missouri. The new 16,000-square-foot facility will manufacture rotomolded floats used to support floats used to support floating docks. "By manufacturing our own floats, we ensure the highest quality standards are maintained. It also makes the Galva-Foam facility more competitive in selling large marina dock projects," according to Galva-Foam General Manager Ken Wells. Foundation work has begun on the new facility, which is expected to be in production by October. Also at ShoreMaster, the company is introducing DuraTech, a proprietary polyurethane coating designed to protect the underside of concrete docks. The DuraTech spray elastomer system creates a durable shell similar to the polyethylene used to encase ShoreMaster rotomolded floats. Similar to polyethylene, DuraTech shares a poly-based molecular structure with expanded polystyrene (EPS). This allows DuraTech to bond with the concrete dock's EPS core, forging a protective coating that, unlike a concrete bottom, won't crack, corrode, or fall off. |
