opens southeast region service center

Dock Age Fergus Falls, Minnesota - ShoreMaster has opened a Southeast Region Service Center in West Knoxville, Tennessee. This is the first regional service center for ShoreMaster that expands and improves the basic warehouse concept by adding a retail showroom, service, repairs and redistribution capabilities to the business formula. ShoreMaster, headquartered in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, is a manufacturer of docks, boatlifts, marina systems, and recreational water products. The company has corporate offices in Fergus Falls and Camedonton, Missouri. The Service Center is owned by ShoreMaster and operated by Parrott Systems, Inc., a well-known, metro-Knoxville firm involved in the marine industry. ShoreMaster provides the product, Parrott Marine oversees scheduling, delivery, service and repair. "We're pleased to be able to grow the ShoreMaster family in Knoxville through Parrott Marine, a 25-year ShoreMaster dealer partner," says Erik Ahlgren, president of ShoreMaster. "The Service Center provides a huge advantage to the dealers and general public by providing docks, lifts and other waterfront products they need in hours instead of days. The products, service and expertise are all here to help the people in the heart of Tennessee lake country maximize their waterfront enjoyment." The two-acre ShoreMaster Region Service Center receives the GalvaLift and DocKit Kit Dock products from its Fergus Falls plants. The inbound and outbound product is then moved along to the end user dealers and retailers. The facility also offers inside and outside storage, pre-assembly on all boatlifts, custom design and engineering of dock systems, delivery, and on-site assistance. It currently employs 12 full-time staff and is open 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. "Knoxville provides the ideal geographical location," says Kirk Parrott of Parrott Marine. "The people of the immediate area can see and experience all the the products, and dealers can order or pick up what they need without the hassle or time it takes to ship. This is a concept that makes sense for ShoreMaster that, in turn, benefits the area people that enjoy our region's beautiful lake country." ShoreMaster, Inc. also recently acquired GalvaFoam in Camdeton, Missouri. The company manufactures a line of residential docks in aluminum, galvanized steel and concrete, as well as lifts and accessories. ShoreMaster's commercial division designs and installs concrete, galvanized steel, aluminum and modular poly marina systems throughout the United States and around the world.
