World Class Rail Systems Text

THE FRAME
Our world-class rail system, also known as the single-plane system, is manufactured with an outer frame composed entirely of aluminum tubing or rails. Seventy percent of commercial docks sold by ShoreMaster utilize the single-plane system. The world-class system can be constructed with sidewalls of a variety of sizes depending on your site conditions. Much like the truss system, larger rails are used for rougher waters. And all of the aluminum structures on our marina systems feature polyethylene floats and are available either with aluminum, vinyl or wood decks.

KEY FACT
You can add slide-in bumpers without the need for screws or rivets which add holes and detract from the appearance of the dock.

Five Major Benefits of the ShoreMaster World-Class Rail System:

  • No rust or corrosion, so they’ll last longer and maintain their attractive appearance.
  • Lighter than steel, so they're easier to remove and install where docks are seasonal.
  • Aluminum frames flex, providing greater elasticity than steel.
  • No secondary treatment needed, making them more attractive than galvanized frames.
  • Not affected by salt water making them ideal for installations in coastal locations.

FLOTATION UNITS

The most important part of a floating dock is flotation. So we don't take chances. We manufacture and test our own complete line of rotationally molded floats at our ShoreMaster plant. Each flotation shell is made of durable polyethylene and then filled with expanded polystyrene. Our floats can accommodate virtually any dock design requirement. We offer a complete line of float sizes: 12", 16", 20", and 24" floats.
